Our Story
Fresh Veggies was created out of a desire to encourage customers to support local fruit and vegetable growers in their own community rather than relying on supermarkets.
When you support local farmers and growers, you can enjoy fresh, nutritionally enriched fruit and vegetables whilst having the opportunity to learn more about the vegetables and the people that grow them. At the same time, you’ll also be doing your bit for the environment because our locally cultivated produce has a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to the fruit and vegetables sold in the supermarkets.
All our produce is grown fresh here in the UK, by growers who live near you, so it never has to travel far before arriving on your plate. In this way, we can guarantee the freshness of your fruit and vegetables, allowing you to savour every mouthful.

We work with local growers and farmers of all sizes who grow their produce right here in the UK. You can choose who you want to support when you use our search function to find someone near you. You can then learn more about them and their farm and farming methods either from their individual ‘shop’ page, or by contacting them directly.
Our partners’ fruit and vegetables are picked just for you to ensure they are fresh and tasty. Each partner uses different farming methods so it’s best to check directly with them but if enjoying uncooked with the skin on, Fresh Veggies would suggest rinsing before use.
Fresh Veggies cannot guarantee that your produce will be organic. Our farmers use a wide range of farming methods which can vary from one farmer to another, so whilst some sell fruit and vegetables which are organic, this will not be the case for all. Speak to your local farmer to find out more
Our farmers are able to choose how their produce is received by their customers. Please check individual shop pages to determine whether your local grower allows collection or delivery. The growers also set their own minimum delivery limits and the region they will deliver to – check their individual page to find out more.

Unlike a lot of other vegetable box businesses, we don’t require our customers to pay a monthly subscription, allowing you to buy whenever you want to. Your local farmer may offer something like this independently but that is their choice and we would suggest you speak to them.
